Fredericksburg Police have arrested the suspect in Monday night’s armed robbery at the Subway in Central Park.  22-year-old Tucker Philip Smith of Madisonville, TN. was arrested on felony charges of attempted robbery and robbery. He’s incarcerated at the Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.

Monday around 6:30 pm  a Subway employee reported a man walked into the restaurant, displayed a knife, and demanded cash from the register. Police later identified the suspect as Tucker Smith. The employee ignored Smith’s demands and instead called 911. Smith then turned his attention to a customer eating at a table and demanded money. The victim gave Smith cash from his wallet, and Smith fled the store.
