Arrest in Stafford elementary school bomb threat

by | Sep 14, 2022 | Police and Fire

The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office says a suspect has been identified and charged in last week’s threat to Conway Elementary School. The September 7th phone threat prompted a large law enforcement response, a school lockdown and many anxious parents, students and staff.
As a result of the investigation of Detective J.T. Lynch and Detective B.A. Talbot, 34-year-old James Hash of Fredericksburg was taken into custody Tuesday afternoon. He has been charged with threats to bomb and attempted act of terrorism. Hash has been held without bond at the Rappahannock Regional Jail.
The Sheriff’s Office says this is an ongoing investigation and additional charges are pending in other jurisdictions.
