Opportunity for public comments on the regional 2022 Hazard Mitigation draft plan

The George Washington Regional Commission, in partnership with its local member jurisdictions: the towns of Bowling Green and Port Royal, the City of Fredericksburg, and the counties of Caroline, King George, Spotsylvania, and Stafford, along with the Rappahannock Tribe, is working to develop an update of the Regional Hazard Mitigation Plan. The draft of the Plan, along with revisions when available, may be reviewed at the following link:
www.gwregion.org/hmp.

The Plan update Project Management Team will be meeting on October 4, 2022 to discuss and consider approval of the draft Plan for forwarding to the Virginia Department of Emergency Management and Federal Emergency Management Agency for review – the public is invited to attend the meeting, in-person or remotely, and may submit comments on the draft Plan at that time. An agenda for the meeting may be accessed at the following LINK. Comments on the draft Plan and any questions may also be emailed to:
