Take time to notice….historic bridges around us

From Prince William Forest Park:
While bridges big and small may be all around us, seldom do we notice them. Because of the two forks of Quantico Creek running through the park and the many roads and trails running over the creek, Prince William Forest Park contains quite a few bridges. Some were constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) during the creation of the park, and some bridges date all the way back to the pyrite mining operation here. Some, like this arch bridge along the South Valley Trail, were built later on in the 1970s to make trail creek crossings safer for hikers
