The Rappahannock Regional Solid Waste Management Board announces additional weekend hours to provide more options for patrons of the Regional Landfill and Belman Road Convenience and Recycling Center. Both residential service centers will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, starting Saturday, December 3. Weekday hours will change to 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Commercial hours will remain the same.

“We understand that time is at a premium for our patrons and adding the additional hours on the weekend will give citizens more flexibility in utilizing the residential service centers,” said Regional Landfill Director Phil Hathcock. “We are always looking for ways we can improve service and more hours mean better service.”

The Regional Landfill accepts most household and commercial waste on a daily basis, such as: household trash, mattresses, box springs, televisions, indoor/outdoor furniture and yard refuse. As well, there is a recycling center. The Belman Road Convenience and Recycling Center accepts household waste and recycling. For more details, please visit www.r-board.org.
