The Library of Virginia announced that the Circuit Court Records Preservation (CCRP) program has awarded Spotsylvania Circuit Court Clerk, Christalyn Jett, a grant in the amount of $59,733.00 for local records preservation. The funds will be used to conserve Deed Book A, 1722-1729; Deed Book D, 1742-1751; Execution Book 1771-1785; Execution Book 1785-1789; Execution Book 1796-1799; Minute Book 1774-1782; and Order Book 1843-1849 stored in the her office. They will also be digitized so that they can be made available to the public through the Clerk’s online records management system.

“We are very excited to receive another grant from the Library of Virginia”, said Ms. Jett. “These records are the history of our county, we have an obligation to make sure that they are available for future generations.”
