Margaret Ransone will not seek another term in the General Assembly

Delegate Margaret Ransone announced Friday this will be her last term in the Virginia House of Delegates.

Ransone stated, “Representing our cherished Northern Neck, King George, and Caroline Counties has been a great honor.  My love for community will never change. Todd, Morgan, Bevan, and myself are so thankful for everyone over the years that supported our family and we are now looking forward to spending more time together.”

Delegate Ransone served as Chairwoman of Privileges and Elections, she was a member of Courts of Justice, Commerce and Energy, Agriculture, Chesapeake and Natural Resources, and the Rules Committees.  Throughout her ten years of service Ransone was appointed to numerous Boards and Commissions that met throughout the year when the regular Session was not meeting.  Ransone will continue to serve her constituents throughout her term which will end this year

Ransone has represented the counties of King George, Westmoreland, Richmond, Northumberland, Lancaster, and portions of Caroline since 2012.
