Today, our school division had the privilege of hosting Governor Glenn Youngkin and Secretary of Education Aimee Guidera for Read Across America Day. The Governor took time out of his schedule to read to some of our elementary students His choice? The classic tale “If You Give a Mouse a Cookie!” It was a hit!
Along the way, we were also able to highlight several other programs to the Governor, including our Little Lions, Teachers For Tomorrow, Culinary Arts, Lions Brew, LCHS Baseball, and more!
We are so, so PROUD of our students and staff and it brings us so much joy to see their hard work highlighted. We may be a small town, but we work so hard to be the model for what excellence in education looks like in the Commonwealth.
