From the Fredericksburg Regional Food Bank:

We were honored to cooperate with the Federation of Virginia Food Banks, along with many local and regional leaders and stakeholders interested in the issue of nutrition as participants in a listening session dedicated to the Farm Bill being considered by Congress this year.
Congresswoman Abigail Spanberger, our regional representative and the lone Virginian on a Congressional Agriculture Committee, convened a session to share her perspective on the nutrition programs within the Farm Bill and to listen to the questions and comments of panelists and attendees who spoke about the evident food access needs present in the community and the challenges which the Farm Bill should be aiming to help our nation address.
Rep. Spanberger stayed behind after the session for a tour of the secondary warehouse facility we are leasing at 480 Central Road in Fredericksburg and began using several weeks ago.
We thank Rep. Spanberger for the visit and are grateful for the many partners who joined in this session to raise voices on behalf of those who benefit from our nation’s nutrition programs.
