Germanna STEAM-H Day

Fredericksburg, VA – The Germanna Community College will host a STEAM-H Day on April 1, showcasing Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics, and Health. The event will be held on the Fredericksburg campus, located at 10000 Germanna Point Drive, and is designed for K-12 students to promote STEM education.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., students will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of hands-on activities, including drone demonstrations, geology rock displays, microscope tutorials, and even drawing and painting from observation. Additionally, there will be activities centered around health and wellness, such as hands-only CPR and AED training.

The event will also feature interactive sessions on cybersecurity, math games, and 3D-printing. Students can even participate in a game truck, enjoy music, and play with giant Jenga blocks and Squishy circuits.

In the spirit of giving back to the community, STEAM-H Day will collect canned and boxed food, as well as personal hygiene items for the Food Pantry.

The event is free and open to all students in the area, with activities specifically catered to grades K-12. So bring your friends and family to experience the excitement of STEAM-H Day!

Event runs Apr 1, 2023 through Apr 1, 2023
