Fredericksburg Region Closings and Delays January 29

Closings, delays and special schedules in the Fredericksburg region for Friday, Jan. 29, 2016. The list is in alphabetical order.

Caroline County Public Schools (Virginia) will be operating on a two hour delay on Friday, Jan. 29, 2016, for students and staff. Twelve-month employees are Code 1.

Fredericksburg City Public Schools are on a two-hour delay on Friday, Jan. 29, 2016.

Fredericksburg Parks and Rec classes and activities prior to 11 a.m. on January 26 are cancelled. Dorothy Hart Community Center will operate on a normal schedule.

King George County Schools will be open on time January 29, 2016.

Spotsylvania County Public Schools will open on a two-hour delay on Friday, Jan. 29, 2016, and will not have an early release. As per the instructional calendar, Friday will be an A-day for Middle and High schools. The last day of the semester will now be Monday, Feb. 1, 2016. February 1 is a make-up day for January 22, 2016, and will be a B-day for Middle and High schools.

Stafford County Public Schools will be closed for students on Friday, Jan. 29, 2016. All employees are to report on a two-hour delay. Schools will open on a two-hour delay on Friday for teachers to work with no leave assessed, in the event conditions prevent teachers from attending. The School Board will have a meeting at 8 a.m. Friday to determine if Monday, Feb. 1, will be a regular school day rather than a teacher work day. At that time, the end of the semester and report card distribution dates will be announced. Friday and weekend activities and events will be held or adjusted as needed, information pertaining to specific events will be on school and division web pages.
