The first official day of Spring 2016 in the Fredericksburg region will include a wintry mix of rain and snow, according to the National Weather Service. Little or no accumulation is expected, however.
Rain is expected to begin after 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 19, with the day’s high near 45.
Rain and snow are likely from 2 – 8 a.m. Sunday, March 20. The overnight low is expected to be around 35.
A winter weather advisory is in effect 10 p.m. Thursday through 10 a.m. Friday.
Rainfall amounts could exceed one inch in just a few hours Sunday.
