Paragon Autism Services invites local families to join us for a Sensory-Friendly Touch-a-Truck on Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 9:00 AM–12:00 PM at Spotswood Baptist Church in Fredericksburg, Virginia.

This free community event gives children and families the opportunity to explore a variety of vehicles up close, meet the people who operate them, and enjoy a welcoming, family-friendly morning together.

Designed with accessibility in mind, the event will feature a quiet, sensory-conscious environment with no sirens or flashing lights, along with a designated sensory break space, social narratives, and clear expectations to help families prepare for the experience.

Families can look forward to seeing an assortment of community, service, commercial, and specialty vehicles while connecting with local organizations and businesses.

Two sessions: 10am & 1pm

Summer has gone, but work in the garden is just getting started! Join Garden and Grounds Manager Brian Barbre for a landscape walk. We’ll discuss preparing the garden for winter, including overwintering plants, cutting back perennials, seasonal pruning, seed collection, and planning for the year ahead.

Come with good walking shoes, a curious mind, and a green (or brown) thumb. Each session is one hour. Space is limited. Cost is $12 per adult; Members are free.

Brompton Community School invites families from across the Fredericksburg area to our free Trunk or Treat on Saturday, October 24, from 3pm to 4:30pm at Brompton Community School.

Kids can trick-or-treat their way through a lineup of creatively decorated car trunks, from spooky to silly to wonderfully wild. It’s a safe, welcoming, and low-key way for little ones (and big ones) to celebrate Halloween with neighbors and friends. Costumes are encouraged for all ages!
